When we met in college, we had ideas. As friends, colleagues, and coworkers, we’ve worked hard, laughed a lot, made some mistakes, and done everything we can to turn those ideas into what you see now - Hunter & Light. Our time as Hunter & Light has challenged us in new ways, encouraged growth, and most of all, helped us to create a network of not just clients, but friends. We don’t believe that a picture is worth only a thousand words; instead, it’s worth is created by the emotions captured, the stories told, and the memories created. We’re excited to create those memories for you, to capture those moments, help you to remember, and most importantly, to share your stories.

There's not too many things in this world I really approve of; but love is definately number one and I approve of all shapes and sizes of it. Some call me Erik but I call myself crazy, crazy for those humans who have found their other half. You may ask "but why do we need your approval for our love, Erik?" Well it's always nice to have someone on your side to help show and spread your love throughout the world.

I am from a small farm town 30 min north of Cincinnati. I have small town charm and sensibilities, but when it comes down to it I am a rebel skateboarding romantic in search of love, with some crazy thrown in the mix.

I see video as a way to capture the different forms love takes. The movement of love, the nostalgia of love, the mysticism of love, and the everlasting bond love has on people is what gets me out of bed in the morning. Having the opportunity to be involved with any love at all is truly an honor and privilege and above all else the most heart warming experience anyone can ask for.

I'm a sucker for love stories.

For as long as I can remember, photography has been a part of my life. My earliest memories are of my mother holding a camera taking photos of my sister and I. My interest in photography and videography stemmed from my mothers passion for taking pictures. There were few moments where she didn’t have a camera in her hands.

When I pick out a movie to watch, it's a romance, and usually one I have already watched a hundred times. They've always left me dreaming of love, and of my own future wedding, because weddings have always been important to me. As a gay man, a wedding wasn’t always something I thought I would get to experience for myself. To me, there isn't a day that's more special, and that's why I’m so passionate about documenting them.

I never thought I'd be making wedding videos but, looking back on it now, it makes perfect sense. I've always had a passion for weddings, and I'm regularly drawn to movies about love. Now my full time job is capturing a couples' special day, and making movies of their undeniable love. I couldn't be happier.

In case you couldn't tell, I live and breathe to create. It makes me happy, and if I'm doing things the way I should, it brings others happiness, as well. From an early age I knew what I wanted to do, and I've never strayed from the path that was so clearly set out in front of me. The connections that I've built with friends, colleagues, and clients are what make this path so easy to follow. My community of friends has allowed for incalculable mutual support, which has brought us all closer together and pushed us harder to create meaningful works. When I'm not "in it," you'll find me with my lovely girlfriend, Sophie. If you visit any local antique stores, you'll find us digging through shelves and crates. If you enjoy local eats, you'll see us enjoying them. In my spare time, I take photos and design posters for Rhinegeist Brewery. Whatever time I have left is devoted to my friends, listening to music from all across the genre spectrum, or watching something good on Netflix.
